Back in Black

I obviously haven't been keeping this thing up. I again claim that I'm not a good writer and always second-guess if anyone really cares what's going on in my life, but I'll give it another shot. Besides, there are some pretty significant things happening right now (to be read about later).

So I guess I owe an explanation for my last post: Ode to Saliva.

A few weeks ago I bought some black nail polish for fun (and pulled it off quite well, thank-you-very-much). I've had the idea for a while and when you find polish for $1 all your wildest black-fingernailed dreams can come true. Anyway, I was feeling pretty good about being just slightly out of the ordinary when I came to learn that "black is the new pink." This was how one of my good friends explained it. Everywhere I looked I saw black fingernails and toenails! It's weird how I'd been overlooking it. The pictures are funny because the day after hanging-out with Jamie and Stephanie and shocking them with my blackness, Jamie sends me a picture of her black fingernails. I thought it only appropriate I document mine, as well, and share with all.

Title of the post? Another quote from the same person who said, "black is the new pink." We were walking through Target when I decided to celebrate the wonder that is saliva because I was able to eat my fortune cookie without chewing. Man, nothing gets past me.
